Senior Stage Technician
Taylor worked as a Senior Stage Technician from April 2019- May 2023. This position assists in technical direction, and requires facility maintenance, stage rigging, lighting/sound operation, IT support for theater technology and an understanding of safety and emergency protocols. In addition to internal productions, stage technicians also assist in the management of special events that come through the facilities. During the Summer of 2020, Taylor was asked to step into a House Management position to assist in developing and enforcing additional safety protocols and distancing guidelines for the COVID-19 Pandemic. She created a seating plan that would fit 252 patrons into the 1,500 seat auditorium, all six-feet apart. She has worked on over 100 events that come through the Mary Linn Auditorium & the Charles Johnson Theatre. This job has allowed her to apply her skills outside of a theatrical production. She's worked on Jazz, Show-choir, Conferences, Pageants, and other large scale events.
Publicity Design Work
In her time as a Publicity Manager for Theatre Northwest, Taylor had the opportunity to design production programs and posters. Examples are below.
Additionally, she implemented this new logo and many other social media promotions, including ticket giveaways, Tech Week Takeovers on Instagram, and senior farewells. Additionally, she created the Theatre Northwest TikTok. More of her work can be found on the linked Theatre Northwest Accounts below.
During COVID-During COVID-19, as her position became remote; Taylor was tasked with creating a virtual Front of House for live-streamed and recorded performances at Theatre Northwest. This resulted in her developing and designing production websites, providing the full theatrical experience in an online format. This is an example of the website for Spoon River Anthology, which was filmed at historical locations in the area.
